دونالد ترامپ در پیامی در شبکه اجتماعی «تروث سوشال» جمهوری اسلامی را به استفاده از هوش مصنوعی برای انتشار اطلاعات نادرست درباره جنگ متهم کرد و گفت برخی رسانه‌های آمریکایی نیز در بازنشر این مطالب نقش دارند.

ترامپ در این پیام نوشت جمهوری اسلامی سال‌ها به «استاد دستکاری رسانه و روابط عمومی» شناخته شده و اکنون از هوش مصنوعی به‌عنوان «سلاحی برای انتشار اطلاعات غلط» استفاده می‌کند. او گفت تصاویر و گزارش‌هایی که درباره حمله قایق‌های انتحاری یا آسیب‌دیدن تجهیزات نظامی آمریکا منتشر شده‌اند، ساختگی هستند و با هدف نشان دادن قدرت نظامی ایران ساخته شده‌اند.

رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا همچنین گزارش‌هایی درباره آسیب دیدن هواپیماهای سوخت‌رسان ارتش آمریکا و نیز تصاویر منتشرشده از آتش‌سوزی ناو هواپیمابر «آبراهام لینکلن» را رد کرد و آن‌ها را «خبر جعلی» خواند. او گفت این تجهیزات همچنان در حال خدمت هستند و برخی تصاویر منتشرشده با استفاده از هوش مصنوعی تولید شده‌اند.

ترامپ در ادامه برخی رسانه‌ها را متهم کرد که آگاهانه چنین مطالبی را منتشر کرده‌اند و گفت انتشار اطلاعات نادرست درباره جنگ می‌تواند به «خیانت» تعبیر شود. او از بررسی مجوز برخی شبکه‌های رسانه‌ای توسط کمیسیون ارتباطات فدرال آمریکا نیز استقبال کرد.
