وحید بهمن، تحلیل‌گر سیاسی، در گفت‌وگو با منوتو با اشاره به گزارش‌هایی درباره احتمال مسلح‌کردن برخی گروه‌های کرد توسط آمریکا گفت این موضوع پس از تکذیب مقام‌های آمریکایی از جمله سخنگوی کاخ سفید و وزیر دفاع نباید چندان جدی تلقی شود.

او تأکید کرد گروهک‌های«تجزیه‌طلب» مانند کومله، پژاک و حزب دموکرات، ظرفیت عملیاتی محدودی دارند و مجموع نیروهای مسلح آن‌ها حدود هزار و پانصد تا دو هزار نفر برآورد می‌شود.

بهمن افزود طرح چنین ادعاهایی می‌تواند به جمهوری اسلامی کمک کند تا با «مظلوم‌نمایی» و ایجاد همدلی در داخل، از این فضا برای اهداف تبلیغاتی استفاده کند و حتی احتمال داد که مطرح شدن این موضوع بخشی از پروپاگاندای خود جمهوری اسلامی باشد.

این تحلیل‌گر سیاسی همچنین گفت هرچند از نظر تئوریک ممکن است بازیگران خارج از دولت آمریکا یا حتی کشورهایی دیگر در چنین مسائلی نقش داشته باشند، اما با توجه به توان میدانی محدود این گروه‌ها، نباید بیش از اندازه به آن‌ها اهمیت داد؛ چرا که این امر می‌تواند زمینه سوءاستفاده جمهوری اسلامی را فراهم کند.
