رئیس کمیسیون اروپا در ادامه تأکید کرد ثبات منطقه از بالاترین اهمیت برخوردار است و تنها راه‌حل پایدار را یک مسیر دیپلماتیک دانست؛ مسیری که به گفته او شامل توقف کامل برنامه‌های هسته‌ای و موشک‌های بالستیک جمهوری اسلامی و پایان دادن به فعالیت‌های بی‌ثبات‌کننده در منطقه است.
