مارکو روبیو، وزیر امور خارجه آمریکا، به طور محرمانه به اعضای ارشد کنگره درباره وضعیت تنش با ایران گزارش داد، ساعاتی پیش از آنکه دونالد ترامپ در سخنرانی سالانه وضعیت کشور تاکید کند که اجازه نخواهد داد جمهوری اسلامی سلاح هسته‌ای داشته باشد.

سفارت آلمان در تهران دوباره به شهروندان آلمانی هشدار داد ایران را ترک کنند و اعلام کرد سفر به ایران «توصیه نمی‌شود».
این سفارتخانه گفته وضعیت امنیتی در ایران و منطقه «بسیار بی‌ثبات و پرتنش» است و احتمال تشدید درگیری و برخورد نظامی وجود دارد. همچنین هشدار داده ممکن است هر لحظه محدودیت‌های جدید در پروازها، لغو پرواز و بسته شدن حریم هوایی رخ دهد.
سفارت آلمان اضافه کرده که در حال حاضر فقط «کمک کنسولی محدود» ارائه می‌دهد.
این هشدار پس از اظهارات دونالد ترامپ منتشر شد که گفت در حال «بررسی» یک حمله نظامی محدود برای افزایش فشار بر ایران جهت رسیدن به توافق است.
