🇳🇴 The son of Norway’s crown princess has begun testifying in a rape trial
He faces 38 charges. The most serious include four counts classified as rape under Norwegian law, one rape and three cases of forced sexual acts, which are legally treated as rape.
In court, one of the alleged victims testified, related to the first of the four cases cited by prosecutors. She claims the assault took place in 2018 at the Skaugum royal estate near Oslo.
According to her testimony, she and Høiby initially had very brief consensual sex, which she stopped. After that, she says she “fell into a black hole” and remembers nothing else.
Later, police showed her a video recorded on a mobile phone in which Høiby is seen raping her while she was asleep.
The victim stated she is 100% certain that drugs were slipped into her drink.
During his testimony, 29-year-old Marius Borg Høiby repeatedly removed his glasses and wiped away tears. At the previous court session, he said he does not plead guilty to the rape charges, but partially admits guilt for physical violence against a former girlfriend.
Høiby faces up to 16 years in prison.
