وزارت خزانه‌داری آمریکا اعلام کرد دفتر کنترل دارایی‌های خارجی این کشور چند مقام ارشد جمهوری اسلامی و یک بازرگان ایرانی را به‌دلیل نقش در سرکوب اعتراضات و فعالیت‌های مالی مرتبط با سپاه پاسداران تحریم کرده است.

در فهرست تحریم‌ها نام اسکندر مومنی کلاگری، وزیر کشور ایران، دیده می‌شود که بر نیروی انتظامی جمهوری اسلامی نظارت دارد. همچنین مجید خادمی، رئیس سازمان اطلاعات سپاه، قربان محمد ولی‌زاده فرمانده سپاه سیدالشهدا استان تهران، حسین زارع کمالی فرمانده سپاه همدان، حمید دامغانی فرمانده سپاه گیلان و مهدی حاجیان فرمانده نیروی انتظامی کرمانشاه تحریم شده‌اند.

وزارت خزانه‌داری آمریکا همچنین بابک مرتضی زنجانی را به اتهام اختلاس میلیاردها دلار از درآمدهای نفتی ایران و همکاری مالی با نهادهای وابسته به سپاه تحریم کرده است.

دو صرافی دارایی دیجیتال ثبت‌شده در بریتانیا به نام‌های زدسکس اکسچنج و زدکسیون اکسچنج نیز به‌دلیل پردازش تراکنش‌های مرتبط با سپاه در فهرست تحریم‌ها قرار گرفته‌اند. این نخستین بار است که آمریکا یک صرافی دارایی دیجیتال را به‌دلیل فعالیت در بخش مالی اقتصاد ایران تحریم می‌کند.
