خرسندم که با رئیس کمیته دفاع و امنیت پارلمان اروپا، «ماری-اگنس اشتراک-زیمرمان»، پیرامون انقلاب ملی ایران دیدار و گفتگو کردم. حمایت او از ملت ایران و درک و تشخیص نقش مخرب رژیم کنونی قابل تقدیر است.

ما درباره‌ی تغییری که یک ایران آزاد می‌تواند برای اروپا به همراه داشته باشد صحبت کردیم: به‌جای ایجاد موج‌های گسترده مهاجرت از طریق جنگ‌های نیابتی، یک ایران آزاد موجب ثبات در منطقه خواهد شد و امکان بازگشت  پناهجویان به خانه‌هایشان فراهم خواهد شد. به‌جای گروگان‌گیری شهروندان اروپایی و طراحی اقدامات تروریستی در اروپا، یک ایران آزاد به شریکی واقعی برای تجارت و بازرگانی تبدیل خواهد شد. به‌جای تامین پهپاد برای قتل غیرنظامیان بی‌گناه، یک ایران آزاد تامین‌کننده‌ی نفت و گاز برای اروپا خواهد بود.

من بار دیگر تاکید کردم که اگر اروپا و کشورهای اروپایی شش سیاستی را که ما اعلام کرده‌ایم اجرا کنند و فراتر از حمایت کلامی و صرفا اعلام ایستادگی در کنار مردم، با فوریت برای حمایت عملی از مردم شجاع ایران اقدام کنند، آن روز بسیار نزدیک‌تر خواهد بود.

فرانسه اعلام کرد که از قرار گرفتن سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی در فهرست سازمان‌های تروریستی اتحادیه اروپا حمایت می‌کند.
ریاست‌جمهوری فرانسه در آستانه برگزاری نشست اتحادیه اروپا برای تصمیم‌گیری درباره تحریم‌های جدید علیه جمهوری اسلامی، اعلام کرد که پاریس از اضافه شدن سپاه پاسداران به فهرست سازمان‌های تروریستی این اتحادیه پشتیبانی می‌کند. کاخ الیزه این موضع را در بیانیه‌ای رسمی اعلام کرد.
کایا کالاس، مسئول سیاست خارجی اتحادیه اروپا، نیز در روزهای گذشته گفته بود که این اتحادیه در واکنش به خشونت گسترده نیروهای امنیتی جمهوری اسلامی علیه معترضان، در حال آماده‌سازی بسته‌ای از تحریم‌های جدید است.
در همین حال، وزیر امور خارجه ایتالیا روز ششم بهمن اعلام کرد که کشورش از تروریستی اعلام شدن سپاه پاسداران حمایت می‌کند.
این اظهارات در شرایطی مطرح می‌شود که پیش‌تر گزارش‌های غیررسمی از مخالفت برخی کشورهای اروپایی از جمله فرانسه، ایتالیا و اسپانیا با قرار گرفتن سپاه پاسداران در فهرست سازمان‌های تروریستی اتحادیه اروپا خبر داده بودند.

- Permanent end to all enrichment of uranium at sites throughout Iran.
- Limits on the range and number of long-range ballistic missiles maintained by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
- End to all support for proxy groups in the Middle East, including Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis operating in Yemen.

This comes after reports by Axios that Iran stopped communicating with the U.S. through intermediaries, and is refusing any negotiations with Trump.
