امیر شهیدی، پدر مهرشاد شهیدی، با انتشار تصویری از یک ابلاغیه دادگاه در استوری اینستاگرام خود اعلام کرد که پس از گذشت بیش از سه سال و چهار ماه از کشته‌شدن فرزندش، برای او ابلاغیه قضایی صادر شده است.
بر اساس متن این ابلاغیه، از او خواسته شده برای پیگیری شکایت و مطالبه دیه در شعبه مربوطه حاضر شود و تأکید شده در صورت عدم مراجعه ظرف سه ماه، پرونده مطابق ماده ۵۴۱ قانون آیین دادرسی کیفری بایگانی خواهد شد.
امیر شهیدی با اشاره به شرایط کنونی کشور و سوگواری مردم ایران، نسبت به صدور این ابلاغیه واکنش نشان داده و پرسیده است چرا چنین احضاریه‌ای در این مقطع زمانی ارسال شده است.
