🚨🇮🇷 IRAN FLIPS THE INTERNET SWITCH BACK ON ONCE THE STREETS ARE QUIET
Iran’s security council just “approved” ending the internet blackout after more than 2 weeks. Very generous of them, considering it happened after thousands of protesters were killed.
Official line is technical issues. Servers, complexity, give it the weekend. Reality is more like: the crackdown is mostly done, the narrative needs managing, and total darkness is harder to defend once bodies start adding up.
Connectivity is still shaky and filtered. Enough to say “we restored the internet,” not enough for it to actually function.
Classic move. Control the switch, control the story.
