Part of the delay is Washington's allies quietly sweating.

Gulf states and Israel are reportedly telling the U.S. to slow down because they’re not fully confident their air defenses could handle a serious Iranian counterstrike.

They fear if Iran fires back hard, missiles fly, and suddenly everyone’s Iron Dome, Patriot, and “don’t worry, we’ve got this” systems are cooking.

So while the public talk is about strategy and timing, behind the scenes it’s also: are we actually ready for what comes next?

Larry says Russian air defenses flopped in Venezuela and Iran’s 12‑day war for 2 main reasons:

In Venezuela, a stand‑down order kept the systems from firing.

In Iran, the only S‑400 was at a nuclear plant in the southwest. Russian personnel were on site, and that’s the one that got hit. They didn’t have any other advanced systems back then.

Things are different now. Iran called Moscow, sent defense chiefs to meet with Russia, and China has been sending gear and transport flights too.
