بر اساس اطلاعات منتشرشده، او ۱۸ دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ در منطقه تهرانپارس و در محدوده فلکه سوم، بر اثر اصابت تیر کشته شد.

مهرداد(متین) مشتاقی، ۲۷ ساله، مهندس معماری، اهل اراک، ۱۹ دی ۱۴۰۴ در جریان اعتراضات مردمی با شلیک گلوله به سرش توسط نیروهای حکومت مجروح شد و ۴ روز بعد در بیمارستان کشته شد

شاهزاده رضا پهلوی در گفتگوی اخیر با فاکس نیوز گفت دونالد ترامپ به وعده‌های خود پایبند است و می‌داند برای حفظ جان‌ها باید ابزارهای سرکوب کنار زده شود. او تاکید کرد موثرترین راه برای ثبات منطقه، پایان دادن به افراط‌گرایی و تهدید هسته‌ای از طریق فروپاشی این حکومت است.

شاهزاده رضا پهلوی افزود مردم ایران این حکومت را نمی‌خواهند و در میدان مبارزه حضور دارند، اما بی‌سلاح‌اند و به پشتیبانی نیاز دارند. او گفت جامعه جهانی باید در کنار ملت ایران بایستد.

🚨🇮🇷 IRAN EYEWITNESSES: IRAN TARGETED RESCUERS, NOT JUST PROTESTERS

Injured people were reportedly surrounded so no one could reach them. If someone stepped in anyway, they were shot.

One account describes a man bleeding on Takhti Street. A local resident tried to help him.

Security forces hiding in an alley opened fire and killed both. The rescuer was shot in the head.

This regime is afraid of people acting like people. Understandable.

بر اساس اطلاعات رسیده، محل تجمع معترضان مقابل امامزاده غازیان بود؛ جایی که شهروندان طبق فراخوان از پیش اعلام‌شده، در آن حضور یافته و شعارهایی از جمله «مرگ بر دیکتاتور» و «این آخرین نبرده، پهلوی برمی‌گرده» سر می‌دادند.
به گفته شاهدان، نیروهای حکومتی با حمله به تجمع‌کنندگان، معترضان را با باتوم و سلاح مورد ضرب‌وشتم قرار دادند و شماری از جوانان به‌طور خشونت‌آمیز مجروح شدند.
بر اساس این گزارش، شاهدان می‌گویند در لحظه‌ای که شهروندان تلاش می‌کردند از خود دفاع کرده و زخمی‌ها را نجات دهند، نیروهای امنیتی اقدام به تیراندازی مستقیم کردند. در این میان، گلوله‌ای به ناحیه قلب میلاد میانه‌خواه منفرد اصابت کرد. به گفته نزدیکان، او پیش از جان‌باختن گفته است: «مادرم شیرزاده» و لحظاتی بعد بر زمین افتاد.

دونالد ترامپ، در گفتگو با خبرنگاران گفته است آمریکا ایران را به‌دقت زیر نظر دارد و یک ناوگان عظیم نظامی به سمت این کشور در حال حرکت است. او گفت ترجیح می‌دهد درگیری رخ ندهد، اما نیروهای آمریکایی آماده اقدام هستند.

ترامپ همچنین مدعی شد پنج‌شنبه گذشته مانع اعدام ۸۳۷ نفر در ایران شده است. او گفت به مقام‌های ایرانی هشدار داده در صورت اجرای این احکام، با واکنشی شدیدتر از گذشته روبه‌رو خواهند شد. به گفته او، این احکام ساعتی پیش از اجرا لغو شده است.
