جنگنده F-15E استرایک ایگل نیروی هوایی ایالات متحده به‌عنوان یکی از پیشرفته‌ترین هواپیماهای تهاجمی چندمنظوره، نقش مهمی در تقویت توان نظامی آمریکا در خاورمیانه ایفا می‌کند. این جنگنده با قابلیت اجرای عملیات رزمی در شبانه‌روز و در تمامی شرایط آب‌وهوایی، توان انجام حملات دقیق علیه اهداف زمینی و مقابله هم‌زمان با تهدیدات هوایی را دارد.

F-15E از برد عملیاتی بالا و امکان سوخت‌گیری هوایی برخوردار است که به آن اجازه می‌دهد برای مدت طولانی در منطقه عملیاتی حضور داشته باشد. این ویژگی، آن را به گزینه‌ای مؤثر برای مأموریت‌های بازدارنده و واکنش سریع در مناطق حساس تبدیل کرده است.
این جنگنده به سامانه‌های پیشرفته راداری و هدف‌گیری مجهز است و قادر به حمل تسلیحات هدایت‌شونده دقیق است؛ قابلیتی که ضمن افزایش دقت عملیات، تلفات جانبی را کاهش می‌دهد. ترکیب توانمندی‌های هوا به هوا و هوا به زمین، F-15E را به یکی از ارکان اصلی قدرت هوایی آمریکا بدل کرده است.
