Three C-17s flew out of Ramstein airbase in Germany and landed at Diego Garcia, the U.S. military’s “middle of nowhere” for serious stuff in the Middle East.

No word on what they were carrying, but it’s definitely something big, as this kinda move doesn’t happen for fun.

If there’s a strike on Iran coming, odds are it’s coming from there.

Why the rush?

Because Washington’s leverage is slipping, quietly, and this is what that looks like in real time.

Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states are no longer just buyers in the U.S. security system.

They’re becoming power brokers with options. Chinese aircraft, Pakistani production lines, alternative arms supply chains. That means fewer pressure points for Washington to pull when things escalate.

If the U.S. intervenes hard, it risks pushing these states further toward Beijing and Islamabad, right as their regional influence is expanding. So you get restraint instead of muscle. Diplomacy instead of shock and awe.

This power struggle of regional influence between the West and the East may be one factor why Trump caved to the pressure by Gulf nations to not strike Iran.

It’s ironic honestly… Putin, the guy currently invading his neighbor, wants to help calm everyone down and keep the Middle East “stable.”

Honestly, when he’s the one telling people to chill, you know things are on the edge.

But perhaps there’s more at stake for Russia in Iran than we thought.

Putin offered Netanyahu mediation in restoring relations with the Iranian regime

Putin held a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, during which they discussed, among other things, the situation around Iran.

Putin said the Kremlin is ready to act as a mediator in restoring relations between Israel and the Islamic regime in Iran.

The Iranian regime is a long-time ally of Putin. According to Bloomberg, in recent years, Iran has supplied Russia with missiles worth nearly $3 billion.

Putin has used these missiles to strike Ukrainian cities. Overall, Russia’s spending on Iranian military equipment since late 2021 exceeds $4 billion.

According to Iran’s UN ambassador Gholamhossein Darzi, all the chaos, protests, and even the killing of civilians, isn’t the regime’s fault.

Apparently, this is all due to the U.S. and Israel foreign agenda.

It shows the regime isn’t taking any responsibility or accountability, instead shifting it to the U.S., Israel, and Western ideologies, which means things are likely to get worse before they get better.

Many are criticizing the perceived double standard when people protest in support of Gaza, but neglect other atrocities like Iran

While there’s some truth to this hypocrisy, this exact comparison is not fair

Israel is a country that’s part of the Western alliance and propped up by the U.S., so actions they take are indirectly actions taken by the countries backing them, making protests more relevant (Americans protesting their country’s support for Israel)

Iran is a domestic issue that is not caused by American or Western support. The U.S. is not funding this crackdown, the same way it’s not funding the atrocities in Congo or Sudan. So the protests make less sense in that context.

If you expect people to protest every global atrocity, they would be protesting every day of their life.

What I do find ironic however is those that criticize Israel for their actions in Gaza, yet publicly support the Iranian regime. Those people are ideologically blinded.

🚨🇮🇷 IRAN JUST ADMITTED THE ONE THING IT NEVER ADMITS: DEFECTIONS

Iran just told you it’s in trouble.

It blinked. Then tried to pretend it didn’t.

On Jan 9, the IRGC’s own intelligence arm publicly admitted it’s dealing with possible defections inside the Guards.

Then they deleted the statement hours later.

That never happens. Not 2009. Not 2019. Not 2022.

Not once in 45 years.

The unit whose entire job is to prevent defection just admitted defection is happening.

Markets are staring at banks and inflation charts. Wrong signal.

Authoritarian regimes don’t fall when money breaks.
They fall when soldiers stop shooting.

Venezuela survived economic apocalypse because the military kept firing.

Romania collapsed in days once the army refused.

Iran is importing foreign militias because it doesn’t trust Iranians to kill Iranians.

Security forces have pulled back from multiple cities.
The regular army is suddenly talking about “national interests” instead of obedience.

That’s the crack. Not the economy.
