Canada's FM Anita Anand announced that a Canadian citizen has died in Iran "at the hands of the Iranian authorities."

No details on who/how, or when it happened, but Canada is condemning the violence and calling for it to stop immediately.

U.S. talks with Iran also pushed the idea that Tehran had stopped killing protesters and was freezing executions.

That helped lower the risk of war, at least for now.

U.S. forces are still active in the region but Washington is giving diplomacy a shot... for the moment.

Trump on Wednesday and requested that he postpone any plans for an American military attack on Iran, concerned that an attack could lead to a wider regional conflict, worries seemingly shared by Gulf States, a senior U.S. official told the New York Times.
