🇮🇷 IF "IRAN MODERATES" ALSO SUPPORT THE REGIME, WHY CALL THEM MODERATES?

The Iranian regime is trying to look better by getting supporters into the streets and calling protesters foreign agents.

And the so-called "moderates"? They're fine with state violence too.

President Pezeshkian started by saying he'd be conciliatory with protesters. Now he's calling them "rioters" who need to be stopped.

The labels matter. Calling someone a "moderate" makes people think they're reasonable. Makes the regime look like it has a softer side.

It doesn't. Even the moderate faction supports cracking down. They just argue about how hard and how fast.

Calling authoritarian violence "moderate" because it comes with better PR is just helping the regime's image.

Nothing else.

South Korea's special prosecutor has formally requested the death penalty for former President Yoon Suk Yeol during the closing arguments in his trial.
